About the Axman

My name is Robert Plant (no not the guy from Led Zeppelin). I currently reside in Towson, Maryland, but I grew up in Gaithersburg. I have played ice hockey since I was 4-years-old and have been playing the guitar since 2004. It took me only two weeks to learn the seven major chords, and one week to learn my first song. This blog is geared to helping you learn the same way I did.

Playing music is something that helps me cope with the troubles in my life and is a way for me to escape and express myself.

On this blog I will help you achieve a musical Zen in your life. You will learn not only how to play the guitar, but play it YOUR way so that you can express yourself. I have loved music all my life but once I began to play it was then that I found the real joys of music.

Also, I will focus on other musicians and their goals, achievements, and thoughts on the musical world. The Earth is full of different types of music genres and musicians, and all are welcome on this website. Please feel free to send me a message or e-mail requesting help on how to play certain songs, or if you wish to contribute to this website. If you have a video of yourself playing the guitar, drums, piano, etc. I would love to post it to my site and discuss your talents.
